A beautiful final ending with scars everywhere..

It was supposed to be a fairy tale story rather than anybody's nightmare as i would like to say it. The Carling cup..viewed by many clubs as the "not important" tournament. Well, it wasn't for Chelsea or Arsenal. As they turned up as the finalist this time around. Well, abit of build up to the game. Chelsea with their multi-million dollar expensively assembled superstars were expected to qualify for the final if not tournaments champions. Meanwhile, Arsenal who brooded their youngsters from the 1st game all the way to the final, and those bunch of kids ( i can say that cause there are some of them younger than me) really earned their place to be there. What a magical night for some of them.

As we know, Chelsea won the match in the end...2-1 was the final score. Sad ending for those youngsters but also sad ending to what would have been the beautiful game at it's utmost best. Arsenal took the lead from the 17 year-old wonderkid Theo Walcott, he started the move...then chased the ball down in the Chelsea half...before ending the move by placing the past Petr Cech with accuarcy. Chelsea current defending Champions of England ..showed why they were crowned Champions by equalizing ...Didier Drogba rode his luck for an offside appeal from a slicing through past from German skipper Michael Ballack. It was 1-1 and heading for the interval. Chelsea skipper John Terry had played after miraculous healing from an ankle injury to make the starting XI.

Chelsea were gaining control of the game and what looked like a dream soon turned it's ugly head into a nightmare especially for Terry. A Chelsea corner, and John being himself always going for every loose ball...dived to head the ball only to be accidently kicked in the face by Abou Diaby of Arsenal. It was totally unintentional, and it was a horrorfiying scene for everyone , from stadium spectators to television viewers at home. He seemed to swallow his tongue and some said he actually stopped breathing for awhile. Arsenal and England physio Gary Lewin was 1st to arrive to the scene and i think because of him....Terry is still alive. Trying to describe it to you isn't really enough till you see the actual incident yourself.

The game continued and Chelsea got their winner through yes, you guessed him, Didier Drogba. It was the 2nd on the night, and it was the Ivorian hitman's 28th of the season, sounds like a contender for the golden boot if you ask me. Arsenal pressed on for a equalizer and Chelsea defended strongly with Essien shifting into Center-back for the knocked out Cold Terry. As Kolo Toure charged forward he was mauled down to the ground by John Obi Mikel , Terry's sub. That was it, the whole game which was probably hiding it's boiling point just spilled out and it turned into a massive brawl with both sides players going for each other's neck and that pulled Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho in to attempt at calming their players down. It was rather sad to see, a beautiful ending scarred in such an ugly way.

So yeah, Chelsea celebrated their win. Arsenal shouldn't be too disappointed, those kids played awesome football and will one day be champions for sure. But the real attention stealer was John Terry, Captain Marvel , Mr.Ironman and yes Mr.Chelsea. Returning to the stadium 2 hours after being knocked out cold, came to congratulate the team still in his jersey. He said he couldn't remember anything from the incident and also added that he felt alittle groggy. Simply Amazing. After playing as a defender in my own football experience, i realize that defensive players don't really get any credit for good blocks and saves unlike our striking counter parts who place the ball in the opposing net. So John Terry deserves for than he's getting. Since Mr. Terry can't remember the incident..i'll put the video here...not like he'll see it here anyway.

Red Devils counting their lucky stars...and only one counted

I just watched a Premiership game between runaway league-leaders Manchester United playing away to Chelsea's west-london rivals Fulham. I didn't have high hopes for this game...i expected an MU crushing win...but not exactly that happened...which is a good thing...but there was no fairy tale ending...let's put it that way..and leave it that way....A win would be something i wouldn't be happy of....A draw would be reluctantly accepted....and a lost for MU would be most welcomed...indeed. Let me break it down for you...what would the after -effects be...

A Manchester United win
- Chelsea will end up 9 points behind the them leading up to the Carling Cup final against Arsenal tomrrow. And things could get worst for Chelsea if MU pulled off a victory against Liverpool at their fortress at Anfield in mid-week. That would lead to a massive 12 points lead...a big task to overhaul even for the "special one"..himself.

A Draw
- A draw would have been the most welcomed in many opinions. MU did ride their luck and the players would be exausted...so maybe a draw would be decent for them. Fulham would be pleased to take a point off the Red-Devils considering they are the pace-setters and everybody vying to beat them.

A Fulham win
- A win for the Cottagers would be ideal for any Chelsea fan. Though the Cottagers are derby rivals to the Blue boys...any Chelsea fan would be rooting for Fulham to dispatch and put the Red-Devils off their stride. It would be 6 points and Chelsea with a game in hand if it turned out to be the fairy tale ending..like lots of people wished for.

Match Report....Fulham back by their home fans at Craven Cottage would be sensing a chance to take advantage of the Red-Devils messed up Champions League outing in France. With a reportedly bust-up between Sir Alex Ferguson and club captain Gary Neville, the skipper was there for left on the bench as Wes Brown deputised his captain at Right-back. Other than that, it was a pretty much expected line-up from both sides. Ex-Fulham boys Van Der Sar and Saha were involved...the Dutchman started while his French Counterpart started on the bench.

Fulham started the brighter of the two sides..to the surprise of many probably including manager Chris Coleman. Fulham created chances and seem the side more likely to get the opening goal...and their efforts were not in vain when Simon Davis latched on to a cross from the middle and with Vidic sticking close to him ...Van Der Sar rushed out of his goal...only to fail to clear the intial ball...Ferdiand headed towards goal as Vidic lost his balance...while McBride..took the ball in his stride and took a clean cut to the cross face of goal...for the opening...hitting the bar on it's way in. (Current Score Fulham 1-0 Manchester United)

It seemed that way for the 1st half-an-hour before Manchester United actually really "turned-up". They didn't looked like a team that would be running away at the top of the league. Started to make chances....and i would hate to admit it...but teams with quality produce the goods with an attempt..they don't need 2nd chances. Wayne Rooney pulling off to the left side of the Fulham box and whip in a cross to an on-coming Ryan Giggs...who brillantly sliced the ball with his outer foot or maybe it was a stroke of luck...as the commentator said it. Oh well, only Giggsy will know what happened. Fulham would have been disappointed going into the interval tied at 1-1.

(After the 15 minute interval) Back to the game, Manchester United...started to attack on the Fulham goal...pulling off great saves from the Goalkeeper Jan Lastuvka in for the injured Antti Niemi. But later the tide turned on them...and Fulham started pounding attack after attack...only for the brillance of Van Der Sar to get them from getting ahead. However , when the Dutchman seemed helpless , the cross-bar still came to United's rescue as Radzinski happen to head what look to be an empty onto the cross-bar..and guess what?? You pay big when you don't take those sorta gifts...

Nearing the end of the game, when legs tire out and players suffer from fatigue..it's invaluable to have a speedy winger of the name Ronaldo. The portugese winger, collected the ball and charged towards the goal...with a couple of stepovers on the way...before unleashing a shot which took alittle deflection which was enough to send it to the bottom corner of the Fulham net breaking the hearts of Fulham fans and also those Anti-Manchester United supporters. 4 Minutes added on time wasnt enough for Fulham to rescue anything ....though they had a strong appeal for a penalty when Van Der Sar clobbered subsitute Heldar Helguson in the penalty box...only for the Referee to waive away the appeals. Leaving Chris Coleman fuming...

So it wasn't the fairy-tale ending like i wanted it to be. Oh well, Carling Cup's tomorrow and John Terry and Arjen Robben are reportly back in the folding for featuring in tomorrow's final. Let's hope for all the best tomorrow. *Fingers Crossed* ....

Barcelona 1-2 Liverpool , bad boys cause mayhem

Hahaha!!!! These are intial reactions after watching the Champions League game between Barcelona and Liverpool. Though my club Chelsea were playing on the other channel, and they played out a 1-1 draw. Skipper John Terry looks to have picked up another injury....rumoured to be an ankle sprain. I'm confident at the return at Stamford Bridge ...Chelsea are strong enough to take on anything that Porto have to offer....especially if John Terry gets back into the Chelsea starting XI.

Back to the real stuff....there has been alot of pre-match hype about this game. Barcelona vs Liverpool. Firstly , it's a match between 2 clubs with lots of history behind them....Secondly, if you'd realized...that it's a match between the past 2 European Champions...Liverpool champions in 04-05 , followed by their spanish counter-parts in 05-06. Frankly speaking, most people i know hadn't given Liverpool a chance to get anything out of this draw....in fact majority were already expecting them to head for an early exit. The only people on this earth that believes they can get something out of it are probably the Liverpool faithful.

Making sure i did not miss this game...i went to bed as early as 10....to ensure i get enough sleep and to do crazy stuff like blogging at 5:59am sounds reasonable. Well, nothing is gonna spoil my day, seeing those ego-crap Barcelona players get whipped at their home stadium , nou camp...is something i would do anything to see it happen. Yeah, and i got it tonight! Channel surfing in-between ESPN and Star Sports....monitoring both games closely...with full attention....except for half-time when i did a complete surf on Astro.

I was quite disappointed when i saw the score Barcelona 1-0 Liverpool. I missed the goal....so obviously i missed what was the built up to it. The game was quite even from there on....Liverpool having the edge slightly if you ask me. The Barcelona flair players frankly couldn't do much...especially their superstar Ronaldinho, who was plainly shut-tight and was left desperate looking for fouls and making stupid complains whenever he got nudge and all. Just because he's a superstar ...lucky the referee didn't really give a damn about him. The other players were just doing the same ...falling down easily and all. Liverpool weren't exactly innocent totally as well, i would say they played very dirty "time-wasting tactics"....though it was still early in the game...however correct me if i'm wrong.

Liverpool replied with 2 goals...from Bellamy and Riise, the recently became famous golfer Bellamy and his golf-ball Riise. Both players seem to put their golfing experience behind them and make it count on the field. It was Bellamy who feeded Riise for the winning goal on the night. I do sympatize for Julio Belletti...he was running around the last 10 mins with what looked to be a dodgy knee but his manager decided to bring on Eidur Gudjohnsen for Javier Saviola. It was a game with some funny errors....like Victor Valdes picking up a back-pass from Guily...that was a noob mistake....even when i play football...i don't see that happening...and the best part of it...he still insisted on arguing....

Well, all in all. It's a competition over 2 legs....1 half of it is done....and it's been going in the right-way. And Liverpool , you've got my support to dump Barcelona out of the champions league.

P.S - i do have something against Barca...i really do...

Signing Off ,

Kevin

Chinese New Year....running through the motions..

Hey!! ..Happy Chinese New Year to everybody who come across this post...and is probably chinese? Anyway...My pre-chinese new year run in probably drained alittle more energy out of me than expected...Let's start with Saturday itself...the eve of Chinese New Year....Errr....wait , wait..i'll recall back to Friday instead....

Friday was another tiring day of work....Sirn Loong and myself....worked in alittle later...and getting home at 7 something from work ain't alot of fun let me tell you. That followed by Daddy bringing home a new toy...an Opel Zafira...it's supposed to be Mummy's car...but it's a complicating story about the car situation at home...i won't discuss it ...complicating...And later that night ...i watched "The Guardian" with Ji Mi...he claimed it was an interesting show...though he hasn't watched it..and when it came to the most interesting part of the show...he decided to fall asleep...wonderful.

Saturday morning - slept late, woke up early + futsal = tiring...From 10 to 12...at IFC...usual game...scored a couple of goals...and i'm quite pleased with the goals to be honest...hehehe.. :-P Anyway, it was raining heavily and when i got home ...it was like the ultimate time to go for a nap...but a hungry stomach kept me awake...and Mum wanting to go IKEA...made me give up my sleep...After coming back from IKEA...i rushed to the bed room....changed to more comfy clothes and took a whopping 3 hr nap....Yeah!! The stuff Mum bought at IKEA....i also met Melalyn there....

Wrapping>?< ....not my thing...but had to wrap those stuff Mum bought with newspapers.... Though i like shopping..and stuff like that...for once i was thankful to see that sign

-------------------- Sunday--------------------
Sunday...yeap...i went to church...seemingly with no visiting to do or at least not much visiting to do...service was much shorter than usual...Even Pastor Ong has to rush off for Chinese New Year perhaps...no? I won't tell you what he preached on either....why don't you just go to church and get the cd and hear it for yourself...i think it would be better that way....

We ended doing some visiting after all....Visiting my Grand-aunty..a.ka. "Koo Por" or in longer terms my late Grandpa's sister..which means my Grandma's sister-in-law...or Dad's aunty..however you wanna know ..Unfortunately , she's loss alot of memory due to old age...she's about 91 mind you~!! So she's in an old-folks home...talkin about memory i couldn't really remember how she looked like too...but Dad and Mum said she loss alot of weight..so i guess that's not a good thing...after that drove to my mum's aunty's place...doing that alternating visitation thing again...Dad's side then Mum's ....so nothing new...went to Bangsar..and came home after that.

Went to Victor's house ....played a round of Fifa...then went to KFC with Jess and Vic...and Jess and myself played a prank on Vic....which we found absolutely hilarious..and all the laughing really got to us....won't tell you either ...what prank we played on him...but Vic is always open to pranks...nice guy.

So and i'm online now...so that sums up the 1st day of Chinese New Year...people say i'm too detailed with my postings..so this is kinda more general...and here's some photos of the day...

Koo Por telling Daddy something.....

Wondering what is Daddy doing with a table spoon and in front of the car

Apparently Car also needs "medicine"......the container in the car was so deep
that seemed to be the only way to put the Brake Fluid in...

The "Car Medicine".....hehehe...what a ~joke~

Signing off, happy CNY once again

Valentines Day : Nothing to share but a story to tell

It was 14th February yesterday...and on this day...it's where LOVE takes it's toll on most couples...Candle Light dinner , strolls in the park and etc...Well, for me it's for now at least...it's just any other day...there's nothing much to celebrate for a single guy....rite?? Well, that's not the point..i wanted to post something yesterday...but just got lazy and forgot...and i'm thankful i didn't ....cause i saw this article in the star papers...yesterday's papers...and i think it really hit the meaning of LOVE more than any candle light dinner would have...check it out...

Blind because of an act of love

KLANG: Between them there are no whispers of sweet nothings, showy kisses of affection or presents on those special occasions.

Love – for Khoo Joo Sian and husband Yap Hing of Taman Kapar here – is about taking turns to sip from the same cup, eating from a single plate and insisting the other take the last piece of vegetable during meals.

Love also means Khoo, 65, holding her husband’s hands tightly and never letting him out of her sight when they are out collecting recyclable items on their rusty bicycle.

Always together: Yap (left) and Khoo seen walking hand-in-hand as they leave their favourite coffee shop in Klang yesterday.
For Yap, 64, is blind.

And it was an act of love more than a decade ago that cost him his vision.

He had gone for an operation for cataract on both eyes, with strict instructions from the doctors to rest.

His wife dutifully tucked him in bed and went to work, washing dishes at a restaurant.

“I knew there was no more money in the house. I am her husband, I should be the one putting food on the table,” said Yap.

So he stole out of bed and went to the construction site where he worked as a labourer.

He did not know what happened at the work site but remembered that halfway through carrying some bricks he lost his vision and then collapsed.

The doctors later told him that some veins in his eyes had burst because of the exertion.

Khoo has since become his ray of light.

“He is my husband. It is my responsibility to care for him and to love him, no matter what, said Khoo, who married Yap when they were in their 40s.

They make a living now collecting and selling recyclable items. At around 3pm, they are usually seen walking hand-in-hand to their favourite coffee shop for an afternoon cuppa.

“Life has not been easy but I am never lonely because I have him,” she said.

Yap said couples like them do not know much about lovey-dovey words.

Well, reading from that story since the guy was blinded because of his own doing...you can be cynical and say he's stupid for doing that. But well, love is blind isn't it??.....debateable ...

Undecided...

There's so much stuff that has been occupying my mind in the past few days ..and it's been absolutely driving me bonkers...Well, there were a couple of things that i wanted to blog about but unfortunately ...i'm undecided at the moment on which topic should i blog on....Too many things to talk about and obviously not much time to sit in front of the com and just type my way around...Or at least my back doesn't allow me to.

I've just came back from a football match..and it's been one of the worst i've ever played in...not in terms of performance...but in terms of pitch condition and some other plus/minus factors...We couldn't get our usual Telekom field...which some of us complain that it's dodgy and all but i guess after today...most of us will really appericate and value the place...We shifted today's game to a new location in Titiwangsa...and as far as i can remember ...it was a pretty nice field...From my memory which ..brings me back to this...the last time i've been to Titiwangsa...was probably only God knows when...LOL

The field was absolutely pathetic...The middle was litterally like playing in the sahara desert...If a strong wind blew across i think a mini-sandstorm could have took place..Well, we lost the game 2-1...another defeat for me..but what was more irritating than that is my back...it's hurting quite badly...after being on the receiving end of a clumsy tackle...So i'll be having restricted movement for the next few days till the pain slowly fades away...and i'll probably be back in action pretty soon.

I'm not going to give any commentary on today's game....i'm quite worn out and there won't be any match write-up on the EPL title chase in..Results were MU winning at home 2-0 to Charlton and Chelsea keeping pace by dismentalling Boro 3-0.

So that's all for now....till later..ciao man

Disconnected from the world...everything in slow mo..

Yuppies...it's a wedensday night....and i'm blogging. Er..nothing to do with that actually. Just as well as Cheryl ended her phone-less days....i ended up on the other end of things. No no, i din lose my phone....I've recently switched from prepaid to postpaid...normally what working people use...hehehe....well yeah, i thought that switch was a good move..it certainly seem like a better option. I still do think that way..but it's put me through lots of trouble...And it's been more than 24 hours now that i've been "Disconnected from the world"....my mobile phone does not have any service...therefore i can't be reached..and i can't reach people...so i'm literally UNREACHABLE..

I've been to KLCC maxis a number of times already...mmm..let me break it down for you
Incidents

1. Went to KLCC on monday night mainly with intentions to get the line thing done...but system was down..stayed in KLCC for only 12 mins...parking cost rm3....

2. On the way to work, stopped by Maxis center...queued up ...got the line thing done...told will be able to resume usage 4-24 hrs time.

3. After work, went to KLCC to find out what's taking the line so long because after numerous phone calls here and there and being told different stories....just had to find out what's wrong.
Verdict : still unavailable told that line will be available tomorrow morning...we'll see...

It's been a real hassle...not being able to use the phone....feel so handicapped at times. Just to find out what time my mum was coming to fetch me after work...I had to msg june online to call my sister on the house phone for her to call my mum..and then get back to me on MSN....what a hassle...

And adding to that, everything just seem to be going really slow apart from time. Internet connection is slow , maxis updating system has been slowed down, so therefore our work rate has been slow...Psssh....Just everything is slow....

A near maiden win...and Chelsea keep pressure on Devils

Alright...i've just came back from a football match and it ended 3-3. As much as i think it's harsh...i think my team did an excellent job. So firstly i want to congratulate all my players, if they come across my blog and read this. It was a game i felt strongly we would have and should have won...leading 3-0 up for 2 halfs and conceding 3 goals in the finally third is really something that shouldn't be happening. But nevertheless, i'll take the positives from it and that's everybody did their part...and a job well done. My goal-scorers Ryan , Raymond and Yew Gene all very well taken goal guys....Raymond's half-field goal will probably prompt Roman Abramovich to open his cheque book. And the head-line will go like this "Chelsea Billionare wants to sign Malaysian footballer for 50 million pounds after seeing video of player's half field goal." I don't really wanna get into details as i would probably take up the rest of my day to finish.

So i'll get from football to more football. Yesterday , defending league champions Chelsea played away at the Valley. The Blues were in decent form as they have kept 5 clean sheets in a row...alot down to the return of safety helmet wearing goalie Petr Cech. Fit-again skipper John Terry was left on the bench despite being declared fit to play. The game ended 0-1 to Chelsea courtesy of a Frank Lampard strike in the 18th minute. The England midfielder has taken his goal tally in the Premier League to 10 goals now...and is the club's 2nd league scorer behind the inform Didier Drogba. A real intention grabber for me would however be Ukrainenian striker Andrei Shevchenko....the once European player of the year...has really found it hard to strike goal in the Premier League since his 30 million pound move from AC milan. The striker once again Fired blanks again Charlton. But signs of a goal drought ending seems nearing...but until a certain extent you can only sympatize his luck...the reactions after missing chance again and again...makes you really "kesian him" as we say it in Malaysia.

The goal scored by Frank Lampard was much owed to the presistent-ness (if there's such a word) of Andrei Shevchenko...he hurried and push Amdy Faye into making a mistake before poking the ball to Frank Lampard who gracefully just slotted the ball into the bottom corner. I was wondering what muz be going through Shevchenko's mind. - I take shot after shot...right foot , left foot , header, and any other part of my body...no goal...i give one past to Lampard ...he takes one shot and goal. I really wonder how muz he be feeling right now. I think the corner will turn for Shev..and i hope it comes sooner rather than later for him. Because talent in a player doesn't disappear ...it comes naturally. And for someone who has scored that many goals in his life....to be firing blanks time after time is just not right.

Enough about the attacking end. The defence looked much stronger and Wayne Bridge filling in for the self-injured Ashley Cole ..showed that he is no fit replacement for the England 1st choice left back as he is just every-bit as Cole. Cole on the other hand as continued the trend on Arsenal leavers bad-luck. Not until Ryan mentioned this i wouldn't have realized. All players who leave Arsenal usually have bad luck with their future Careers checkout Pires , Cole , Manninger (bet u haven't even heard of him)....Petr Cech in goal shows that the safety helmet is only an object..but it does no harm in performance terms. The giant Czech saved the blues not once but twice at least...(cause that's all i could remember)..both from Amdy Faye....it was a goal scoring opportunity but their attempts were foiled.

Anyway, that's all for today..i'm resting my worn out legs...and let's hope MU slip up against Spurs....Yin sern , Raymond....Spurs BOLEH!!
